Being Blessed
No frills blog this morning. And it's been a minute since I've written one. Quite honestly, it scares me to go back and re-read some of the ones I had written. I wasn't always in a good place. But today. Let's talk about being blessed. Back in the day when I was a Christian and believed in healing....I was in Haiti and was praying for a young blind girl to have her vision restored. That god would bless her with eyesight. In the middle of my prayer I was smacked upside the head and heard, "Who do you think you are?" Think about it. Did her parents and friends also pray for her? Yeah. Every day. Did she pray for herself? Yeah, All the time. And lets be honest, the future for a young blind girl in Haiti is bleak. Why would God answer my prayer and not theirs? It was at that moment I shut up and my trickle to atheism began. Or at least a hopeful agnostic....
